"There is no beauty without some strangeness."

Edgar Allan Poe

The Art-Houses I have created are a fusion of my skills as both a silversmith and an artist. Using traditional techniques, I craft one-of-a-kind pieces that embody my fascination with Gothic literature and jewellery. It’s for this reason that Edgar Allan Poe’s words feel particularly fitting.

The first Art-House I created, in 2021 as my final degree piece, was inspired by my favourite Shakespeare play, Macbeth. While it may not be traditionally classified as Gothic literature, its dark themes of death, witchcraft, and ghosts certainly evoke the eerie and sinister atmosphere that Gothic works strive to conjure.

Future Art-Houses will draw inspiration from 19th-century Gothic writers such as Mary Shelley, Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, H. P. Lovecraft, and others. Each house will depict a key scene from its respective novel and will feature handcrafted jewellery pieces that complement its theme.

Every element—from the structure of the house to the intricate details of the jewellery—is designed and created by me. The jewellery showcased within each Art-House will also be available for purchase individually, allowing collectors to own a piece of the story itself.
